The Problem We Set Out to Solve
The CBD skincare market has two fundamental problems. The first is delivery: most CBD skincare is water-based, and CBD is fat-soluble. Water-based delivery dramatically reduces the fraction of CBD that reaches the skin's cannabinoid receptors. The second is formulation integrity: most CBD skincare uses seed oils as the lipid component -- oils that are 65-80% PUFA and generate oxidative stress on the inflamed skin that CBD is supposed to help.
The solution to both problems was the same: build on wagyu tallow. A pure lipid base with oleic acid as the dominant fatty acid provides optimal CBD delivery through the stratum corneum. The absence of seed oils eliminates the PUFA oxidation problem. The tallow's own CLA, vitamins, and barrier lipids add therapeutic value that no seed-oil-based formula can replicate.
What Restore Will Do
Restore is being formulated to address the skin conditions that the Opulent Facial Elixir helps through barrier support but that require additional therapeutic intervention: chronic inflammatory conditions like eczema, rosacea, and psoriasis; aging skin with significant inflammaging; and hormonal acne with a pronounced inflammatory component.
The CBD in Restore targets the endocannabinoid system pathways that tallow alone does not address: CB2 receptor-mediated cytokine reduction, FAAH inhibition to amplify the skin's own endocannabinoid signaling, and TRPV1 modulation to reduce itch and pain. Combined with tallow's CLA, vitamin A, and barrier structural lipids, Restore addresses skin inflammation more comprehensively than any other topical product in the current market.
